E-mail disclosure

E-mail messages from IFB may contain information that is privileged, confidential, proprietary or otherwise protected from disclosure. If you have received an e-mail from IFB in error, please notify the sender immediately by reply and delete the message from your computer. Do not open, download or save any attachments.

Protect your privacy

For your protection, please do not include confidential information such as account numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, passwords or other non-public information in any e-mail you send to IFB.

We do not accept orders by e-mail

Please do not send orders or instructions concerning an IFB account or any transaction by e-mail. This includes account opening, payment orders, trading orders, revocation of orders or authorisations, blocking of cards, and changes of address or other personal details. IFB does not accept or act on instructions sent by e-mail, nor does it accept trading instructions by voicemail, text message, instant messaging or fax.

Please refer to your official records

Information in an e-mail or its attachments is not an official transaction confirmation or account statement. IFB clients receive their official statements by post, electronically or by other means, as they have directed.

We retain and protect e-mail messages

In line with industry practice and our legal and regulatory retention requirements, IFB retains e-mail messages for a period set by its policies, guidelines and procedures. Retained messages are kept confidential and are accessed and used only in accordance with those policies.

Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement for correspondence

If you wish to share privileged or sensitive information with us by e-mail, our policy is to protect such communication with the greatest confidentiality and security. We therefore require a Non-Circumvention and Non-Disclosure (NCND) Agreement to be signed before any confidential information is exchanged. The agreement protects both parties: the information is used solely for its intended purpose and is protected against unauthorised disclosure or use.

The NCND Agreement is available here. Once it is signed, our correspondence can proceed securely. For any questions about this process, please contact us.
