1 February 2015. The bank was acquired by Advance Royal Investments, Abu Dhabi, a subsidiary of International Finance Corporation LTD.
1 January 2012. Banking operations were extended to Ukraine, Belize and Singapore through sister companies of IFB within IFC Group.
1 March 2007. The banking systems of Intercontinental Credit Bank LTD were merged with the banking operations of First London Bank LTD and combined within International Finance Bank LTD. The merger was completed in June 2007.
13 October 2004. IFB was incorporated and received its banking licence from the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority.
